Senior Manager / Manager, Business Development, Brokerage Distribution

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of assigned broker accounts and drive new business to meet assigned sales targets and KPIs
  • Strengthen and maintain productive working relationships with brokers' management and frontline representatives to support regular business flow
  • Promote company propositions, campaigns and product launches to broker partners, and provide front‑line sales support and business solutions
  • Identify business opportunities within assigned brokers, propose activities and implement action plans to increase penetration and case size
  • Track and analyze sales performance of assigned accounts, prepare business reports and recommend follow‑up actions to improve results
  • Ensure business sourced from brokers complies with company guidelines, underwriting requirements and regulatory standards, and escalate irregularities where required
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g. Operations, Underwriting, Finance, IT) to resolve servicing issues and support the start-up of broker infrastructure and processes
  • Collect feedback from brokers and market intelligence on products, market activities and operational needs, and contribute inputs to channel and product development for sustainable business growth
  • Support training, workshops and joint visits to uplift brokers' product and sales

Requirements

  • University / college graduate with at least 5–8 years' relevant experience in life insurance broker business development
  • Existing good business relationships or network with insurance brokers is highly preferred
  • Self‑motivated, result‑oriented and able to work under pressure in a fast‑changing, build‑up environment
  • Good organizing and time management skills with strong attention to detail
  • Solid knowledge of life insurance and investment products, with understanding of broker operations and sales processes
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence to deal with both internal stakeholders and external partners
  • Good written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Mandarin)
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable using digital tools and e‑submission platforms, etc.
  • Holder of valid Insurance Authority (IA) license (Paper 1, 3 and 5) or equivalent
